Gorman Park Improvement Project
The City’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board have been reviewing improvements to Gorman Park. For questions about the proposed changes, please contact the Recreation and Leisure Services Department at 507-934-0667 or the Public Works Department at 507-934-0670.

Community Spirit Park
2121 West Broadway Avenue. Visit Community Spirit Park and walk, play sports, and more. Large outdoor sports complex located next to the high school.

Gault Park
1901 North Sunrise Drive. Outdoor sports complex and neighborhood park. Regulation soccer fields and regulation softball field. Tire and steel play structures. Drinking fountains and restrooms.

Gorman Park
501 South Washington Avenue. This park near the center of the city is located by the Community Center and Library. In addition to the TREEmendous Playground it features a Game Time Play Structure, Shelter and Softball Fields. It was named in honor of Willis A. Gorman (1816 to 1876), second Minnesota Territorial Governor (1853 to 1857).

Jefferson Park
1401 Nicollet Avenue. Jefferson Park is located on the east side of Nicollet Avenue. It is a competitive field sports complex and neighborhood park. It feature a a 13-acre complex of four regulation softball diamonds. Jefferson Park West is a 40 acre natural resource area featuring a walking trail.

Johnson Park
601 West Broadway Avenue. The City of Saint Peter's smallest park (0.14 acre) is named for Governor John A. Johnson (1861 to 1909), the city’s most famous historical citizen.

Levee Park
101 South Front Street. Located by the Chamber of Commerce Office and Pearly Gates. Picnic Tables, Large Grill, Swing and Slide. The city levee (boat landing) at the foot of Broadway Avenue was in the original city plat of 1854. The levee was a roughly 850-foot long section of the river bank where steamboats docked, and where a ferry across the river was located.

McGill Park & McGill Park Nature Area
1430 Leonard Street. Small play area. McGill Park was established in 1950, the park was named after Andrew R. McGill (1840 to 1905).

Minnesota Square Park
1000 S Minnesota Avenue. This park was in the original plat of Saint Peter in 1854 and has been our town's premier park ever since. A new Pavilion was built in the park in 2019 and it is home to many community events. In 2018 the Veteran's Memorial was constructed in the park. Thank you Veterans. This park features Picnic Area, Playground, Softball Field, Basketball Court, Tennis Courts and more...

Prairie Ridge Park
2023 Essler Drive . Neighborhood park and play area. This park is located in the newly constructed Traverse Green Subdivision off of Traverse Road.

Ramsey Park
1461 North Washington Avenue. Ramsey Park features Youth ballfield with backstop and small play area. It was created in April 1976 and set aside by the developers of the “Daun Addition”, the neighborhood to the north and east of the park.

Riverside Park Extension
State Highway 22 South Riverside Park features river access, canoe launch, walking trails and cross country ski trails. You can find the Riverside Disc Golf near the intersection of Hwy 22 & Hwy 169.

Riverside Park - Mill Pond & Campground
227 Nassau Street. Community scenic park featuring a fishing pond with fountain, river access, picnic tables, park shelters and small playground. It also features a campground....Make reservations up to two weeks in advance online or by calling 507-934-0667 or same day registrations can be made at the Police Department at 207 S. Front St.

Saint Peter Dog Park - 43358 Rabbit Road
43358 Rabbit Road. The dog park has a fenced area for large and small dogs. Development of a second dog park to be located at 1125 North Swift Street is in progress.

Stones Park
548 Stones Way. Neighborhood park featuring a regulation softball field and play area. Stones Park was established in 1959. This park lies on a portion of the land originally owned by the Stone family, one of the first families in Saint Peter.

Thompson Dog Park - 1125 North Swift Street
NEW DOG PARK OPENED JUNE 1, 2020 – The new (second) City dog park has officially opened! The park, located at the intersection of North Swift and West St. Julien Streets, features fenced areas for both small and large dogs to keep all breeds and their owners happy. Reminder: While this is a designated dog park, you still need to pick up after your pet, so please be a responsible pet owner and pick up your dog's waste.

Warren Park
1500 Lloyd Lane. Neighborhood park featuring a playground with a GameTime play structure. St. Peter High School students suggested the name Warren for this park established in 1997, to recognize the role that Glacial Lake Agassiz and its ancient outlet, River Warren, had in carving the valley of what is now the Minnesota River about 10000 years ago.

Picnic Shelter / Pavilion Reservations
Reserve a picnic shelter for your gathering. You can reserve shelters online or Forms are available online or at the Recreation Office, 600 South Fifth Street, Suite 200. Reservations are accepted beginning January 1, 2023 for the current year. City park hours are 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM.
Park Alcohol Permits
Permits are available for groups wishing to consume alcohol in the parks. Permits are available in the Recreation Office, 600 South Fifth Street, Suite 200 or call 507-934-0667.
Pets and Parks
Pets are not allowed on the grounds of any City park or playground, whether at large or on a leash, unless the park is designated for dogs or cats. City Code 8-83
Dogs and cats are allowed on leashes in: Hallett’s Pond Nature Area, Jefferson West, McGill Nature Area, Riverside Park Extension, Riverside Park Extension - Disc Golf, Traverse des Sioux and the Dog Parks (unleashed in fenced area). You MUST pick up your dog’s waste
