June 1 - August 6

Every child (preschooler, school-ager, tween, or teen) is sure to enjoy this summer’s program. All activities are FREE. 

AGES 0-12: Pick up a Summer Reading Trail Map at the Library (or print your own trail map here!)

AGES 11-18: Pick up a Summer Reading Log at the Library (or print your own here!), earn scratch-off tickets for more prizes, or keep track online using this: Teen Summer Reading Tracker

Reading incentives and programs were funded by grants from the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, the Friends of the St. Peter Library as well as local financial institutions.

  • Book Bunch - Read Aloud Book Club

    4th - 7th grade - This 8-week book club will take us through one middle grade novel. Virtual OR In Person Outside. Each participant will get a copy of the book to keep. Mon., Jun. 7 - Jul. 26, 12pm SPPL, Free  Sign up here!

  • Great Stories Club - Graphic Novel Teen Book Club

    7th - 12th grade - A summer book club focusing on graphic novels! Each participant will get one book to keep.  Mon., Jun. 28, 3 p.m.  Receive your very own copy of Banned Book Club by Kim Hyn Sook and Ryan Estrada.  After you read the book, we will gather together for snacks and conversation outdoors at the Gorman Park Pavilion.   Sign up here!

  • Battle of the Books (Book Battle) is now accepting applications! Tweens (9-12) and Teens (13-18) that are accepted will receive 4 books to keep, read the books, complete a book trivia quiz in August for prizes. Other fun surprises will happen all summer long with other youth in the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative area!   Sign up here!
