Recyclable Materials

Accepted / Unacceptable Materials

Glass, cans, plastics, and paper/cardboard do not need to be separated. It's simple; just place in your recycle curbie without any sorting.

Plastics

Plastics numbered 1, 2, 4 and 5 are accepted. Please remove and discard all pumps, and metal handles. Empty and rinse. Plastic bottles & containers can be crushed to save space. Don't forget to recycle your plastic milk and juice containers.

Plastic bags and foam products are not accepted.

Food & Beverage Glass Bottles / Jars

Rinse containers before recycling. Do not break bottles and jars.

Window glass, drinking glasses, light bulbs, and ceramics are not accepted.

Metal Beverage & Food Cans

Empty and rinse all aluminum and metal containers. There's no need to remove labels or crush. Empty paint cans are also accepted.

Aerosol cans, oil or fuel containers are not accepted.

Paper & Cardboard

Paper from the following sources are all accepted:

  • Dry Non-Coated Food Paper Box Board
  • Greeting Cards
  • Junk Mail
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Small Flat Pieces of Corrugated Cardboard Box Material

Paper from the following sources are not accepted:

  • Egg Cartons
  • Gift Paper or Tissue Paper
  • Milk Cartons
  • Paper Towel or Toilet Paper Rolls

  • Auto Glass
  • Blankets
  • Christmas Lights
  • Clothing
  • Flower Pots
  • Light Bulbs or Mirrors
  • Needles or Sharp

  • Slides or Negatives
  • Styrofoam Packaging
