Residents of Saint Peter can use two different recycling sites in addition to the curbside recycling offered by the City.

The Tri-County Solid Waste office has provided these sites for residents to drop off recycling:

  1. Parking lot of the Nicollet County Public Works building at 1700 Sunrise Drive
  2. City of Saint Peter’s yard waste drop off site located at the southwest corner of the North Swift Street/West St. Julien Street intersection.

The following items will be accepted at both sites:

  • Newspaper - daily, Sunday papers, Shoppers and magazines
  • Corrugated Cardboard - boxes should be broken down
  • Plastic - look for the #1 & 2’s only, must have neck or handle
  • Cans - aluminum or tin, aluminum pie tins also accepted
  • Glass - bottles and jars only; clear, brown and green
Residents are asked to ensure that the following items are not placed in the recycling containers:

Window glass & Ceramics
5 gallon plastic pails, Plastic bags & Plastic toys
Pizza boxes
Aerosol cans
Hazardous waste
Demolition/construction materials
