SENIOR COMPUTER CONNECTION – Reserve a computer for your use at the St. Peter Public Library from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays. An assistant will be available to help. To sign up you MUST call the Library at 934-7420 prior to Thursday. SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM - Senior Dining is located at Park View Manor, 1010 South 4th Street. We socialize, and serve a nutritious meal at 11:45 am. Anyone over 60 years of age and/or spouse is invited to make a contribution. Suggested contribution guideline is $2.50 - $3.50. Reservations must be made a day in advance by calling (507) 931-8007 between 10:30a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Transportation is available if needed. MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM - Meals are available to people 60 years of age or older for a contribution. Suggested contribution guideline is $2.50 - $3.50. Call 931-8007 between 10:30a.m. and 1:00p.m. to schedule a meal. NICOLLET COUNTY SENIOR TRANSPORTATION & SENIOR PROGRAMS - The office of the Nicollet County Coordinator of Senior Services Programs is located at the Nicollet County Court House, St. Peter. Anyone 60 years of age or older who needs transportation for medical, business or senior activities should call Sylvia Perron at (507) 934-0484 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon, Monday through Friday. Please call at least one to two days prior to needing a ride. 55 ALIVE/MATURE DRIVING - Call (507) 934-3048 for more information. SENIOR CITIZENS ACTIVITY PASSES - Passes for St. Peter Public School activities are available at the high school events admission desk. These passes are for home games only (hockey games not included). Persons 65 years or older are eligible. RSVP (RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM) - RSVP is an opportunity for persons 55 and over to serve their community by volunteering in agencies and organizations partnering with RSVP. America Reads an the Elder Mentor program puts volunteers into the schools to tutor or help in other situations as needed in the classrooms. Seniors for Habitat recruit for working on the Habitat for Humanity homes in St.Peter, LeSueur and Mankato. Friendly Visitors works with elderly shut-ins. Other opportunities are available with non-profit, public or private health care agencies. Call for more information at (800) 584-5450.
SENIOR CENTER BOARD - Consists of members of our center and delegates from the community, who meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month, 10:30 a.m. at the Senior Center.
