NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT OF MISCELLANEOUS

CHARGES, AND DELINQUENT UTILITIES

 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Saint Peter City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on November 27, 2017, in the Governors' Room of the St. Peter Community Center, 600 South Fifth Street, to consider, and possibly adopt, the proposed assessment of individual improvements, miscellaneous charges, and delinquent utilities.  The totals of the assessments are:

The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection in the Finance Department.  Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting.  No appeal to district court may be taken as to the amount of an assessment unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the municipal clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing.  The Council may upon such notice consider any objection to the amount of a proposed individual assessment at an adjourned meeting upon such further notice to the affected property owners as it deems advisable.

 REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR PURCHASE OF CHEMICALS FOR THE WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES

 

The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, Water Utility is requesting formal written proposals for the following materials/equipment:
    1.Cost per pound/gallon or tote.
    2. Cost for freight.
    3. Fuel charges or other cost not identified.
     4. Pricing for the 2018 calendar year.

 

When pricing please be informed the City will do everything to reasonably schedule deliveries as far out as possible but in some of the chemicals, (Caustic Soda) may have only a two day notice. We will make every attempt to provide a notice of 3 days or more.

 

Delivery hours for chemicals are Monday-Thursday (7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Please provide an annual price for the following:

 

    1.  Sodium Metabisulfite (price per pound)
    2.  Caustic Soda 50% (price per gallon)
    3.  Antiscalant (price per pound)

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - SUNRISE ADDITION PRELIMINARY PLAT

 

The Saint Peter Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the Governors Room of the Saint Peter Community Center (600 South Fifth Street) to receive public comment on the preliminary plat of Sunrise Addition as petitioned by Vertical Growth, LLC.  The subject property is legally described as:

 NOTICE OF PUBLIC NOTICE – CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION

 

The Saint Peter Board of Appeals and Adjustments will conduct a public hearing on December 14, 2017 at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the Governors Room of the Saint Peter Community Center (600 South Fifth Street).  The purpose of the hearing is to receive citizen input regarding an application for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) related to the expansion of the River’s Edge Hospital (Hospital Services) within the North Industrial Park.  The subject property is zoned (I-1) Limited Industrial.  Any person may appear at the time of the hearing to speak in favor or in opposition to the proposed CUP.  Written comments may also be submitted to the Community Development Director (227 South Front Street, Saint Peter, MN  56082) prior to the date of hearing.

  REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR CHEMICALS FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT

 

The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, and Wastewater Utility is requesting formal written proposals for chemicals to be used in the City’s wastewater treatment facility for the year 2018.  Proposals provided must include the following:
1. Cost per pound/gallon or tote. 
2. Cost for freight
3. Fuel charges or other cost not identified.
When submitting a proposal vendors should note that the City will attempt to schedule deliveries as far out as possible, but due to limited space in the tanks, notice of the need for chemicals such as Ferric Chloride may only be two days’ in advance.  The City will make every attempt to provide a notice of three days or more.  Delivery hours for chemicals are Monday – Thursday (7a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Proposals should include the following:
Ferric Chloride 35% (full tanker loads 4450 gallons) Price per pound.
  1. Sulfuric Acid* (93%)  Price per pound
  2. Hydrochloric Acid 20’ (55 gallon Barrel)  Price per pound
  3. Polymer – 2300 lb tote  (Primary Treatment Polymer) - price per pound
  4. Polymer – 2300 lb tote  (Biosolid Dewatering Polymer) - price per pound
  5. Sodium Hypochlorite - Liquid Chlorine (Bleach)  Price per gallon

REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR OF 2018 ON THE HEATING AND COOLING EQUIPMENT FOR THE WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES

 

The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, Water and Wastewater Utilities is requesting formal written proposals for spring and fall service agreements.  The water and wastewater treatment plants have a variety of heating and cooling equipment that requires seasonal preventative maintenance and service call work. This includes:

 REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR CALCIUM OXIDE PEBBLE QUICK LIME-3/4 INCH CHEMICALS FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT

 

The City of Saint Peter, Minnesota, Department of Public Works, Wastewater Utility  is seeking formal written proposals for purchase of Calcium Oxide Pebble Quick Lime-3/4 inch for the year 2018.

 

Lime is to be delivered in loads of 25 tons for transfer to an indoor silo. Vendors should consider 25 ton deliveries in the proposal provided.  The City averages 100-150 ton per year.

 

Please provide an annual pricing for Calcium Oxide Pebble Quick Lime-3/4 Inch with the following line items:

 

1. Cost of ¾ inch calcium Oxide pebble quick lime – 25 ton per load 
2. Cost for freight
3. Fuel charges or other cost not identified.
