·        P.A.W.S. - (Providing Animals With Shelter) has paid for x-rays, heartworm tests, distemper/parvo vaccinations, boarding, pet toys and treats for pound animals.  If you are interested in donating to PAWS, or would like more information on how to become a pound volunteer, please call the police department at 507-931-1550. 

 

            The cost for an animal to stay one day with PAWS is $11.00.  In 2006 PAWS helped over 133 dogs and cats in the St. Peter area find adoptive families.

 

 

·        Is your child safety seat installed correctly?  If you would like assistance in checking your car seat please call Malinda at the police department.  She is able to check recall lists and answer general car seat questions.

 

·        The St. Peter Police Reserves are looking for a few good men and women to support police department activities.  Applicants are required to be 18 years of age with a valid Minnesota driver’s license.  Duties include assisting Officers, patrol, and civic activities such as the Fourth of July Celebration.  Community interest is a must!  Stop down at the police department for an application or contact Reserve Chief Nick Klaseus.

 

·        Neighborhood Watch Groups – We encourage residents to participate in Neighborhood Watch Groups.  We can assist in the development of groups by offering ideas and information.
