Siding Your House/Building
The following information is required before your building permit can be processed and approved:

1. Building Permit Application Forms are available at the Building Department. Provide the project address, contractor name (if any), license number, address, phone number, and value of work.

Required Inspections:

  1. Rough-in: schedule when work has started.
  2. Final: Schedule when complete.
Inspections can be scheduled by calling 507-934-0662.

All siding shall be installed to the State Building Code or manufacturers installation instructions. Flashing is required above doors, windows, etc. that are exposed to the weather.
